Tamara de Lempicka



















Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980)
was an extremely popular and productive painter during and following the Art Deco age. She was born in Poland and lived and exhibited her work in France and Italy. Her bold, assertvie portraits had a dramatic but cool machined look, influenced by cubism and Art Deco styles.

Isabel Bishop
(March 3, 1902February 19, 1988) was an American painter and graphic artist, who produced numerous paintings and prints of working women in realistic urban settings. She was widely exhibited in her lifetime, and was recognized with a number of awards including one for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts, presented to her by President Jimmy Carter in 1979.
